Kitchen measurements
US recipes use cups, tablespoons (tbsp) and teaspoons (tsp). The US values are: 1 cup is about 236.6 ml, 1 tablespoon about 14.79 ml and 1 teaspoon about 4.93 ml, so 1 cup = 16 tablespoons = 48 teaspoons. In some other countries a cup is 250 ml. For dry ingredients, volume and weight are not interchangeable, so use scales.
